Switchgear Quotation Specialist
We're looking for a Switchgear Quotation Specialist to turn plans, specs, and customer requests into accurate, competitive quotes for our switchgear and electrical assemblies. - Perform takeoffs and translate customer requirements into manufacturable, code-compliant solutions.
- Source component pricing and lead times; calculate cost and margin with sales.
- Manage the quote pipeline, follow up with customers, and revise quotes through bid/negotiation.
- Partner with engineering and production to confirm feasibility, lead time, and UL compliance.
- Maintain quoting tools, pricing data, and product configuration templates.
Requirements
- 3+ years in electrical estimating, quotations, or application engineering — switchgear, gear, or distribution equipment strongly preferred.
- Ability to read single-line diagrams, electrical plans, and specs.
- Knowledge of switchgear/panelboard components, ratings, and UL standards.
- Strong math, attention to detail, and customer communication skills.
- Experience with estimating/quoting and ERP tools; strong Excel.
